Mido unhappy at Spurs

MidoMido has publicly revealed that he’s not happy at Spurs.

Mido told Al-Mehwar: “I would be lying if I said that I am happy at Spurs. Any player who doesn’t play will not feel happy.

“The hard times started with me making the wrong decision.

“I made a big mistake when I signed permanently for Spurs. I know that this could result in problems but it is the truth.”

I can’t say I’m surprised by this news really, as he was never going to get a look in with Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov in such great form.

I think the fact that Mido this season has looked slow and overweight, therefore hasn’t been much use to us. I think he’s got the potential to be a world class player, sadly I think his mentality just isn’t ever going to be ‘world class’. So him leaving isn’t a big deal to us.

Ghaly apologises

Posted by Stevio in Tottenham H. on May 12th, 2007

Hossam GhalyFollowing Hossam Ghaly’s tantrum after being substituted on Thursday, he has now apologised for his childish actions.

Ghaly told the club’s official website: “I am just so angry with myself. I have always considered it an honour to wear the Tottenham shirt and I never intended to show any disrespect.

“I knew things weren’t happening for me out there, my play was terrible and I could hear the crowd jeering me. I was so upset at the fans’ reaction. I have enjoyed playing in front of the Club’s supporters all season and I felt I had given of my best all the time and played some decent football. It is always hard to accept being substituted after such a short period of time and I was upset and taken aback by the cheering. I am a player who plays with my heart.

“I know my reaction was totally wrong. I have apologised to the manager and I also want to apologise to the fans. I hope they don’t judge me on this incident alone. I have tried hard for the Club this season.”

Ledley KingSpurs defender Ledley King has slammed the speculation that claimed his career was over.

Ledley told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “When I first heard the rumours, it wasn’t funny in the least.

“I wouldn’t say it made me hurt, but it made me think about what was happening.

“I was never worried about my career and never felt my career was going to be threatened in any way.

“But I was aware that these stories were going around. I heard it from people in the streets, friends even asked me and I heard from everywhere.

“People were stopping me in the street and asking me whether my career was over. People were beginning to believe it.

“I’ve had my fair share of injuries but I don’t think they’ve ever been bad enough for people to believe it was all over.

“It was another ridiculous story circulating that gets out of control.”
