Tottenham 2-1 Portsmouth

Jermain DefoeThankfully we managed to pull off a crucial win – by hook or by crook. If we had lost, it would have been a massive downer, which could have influenced the rest of the season negatively. However, the manner in which the penalty was earnt will soon be forgotten, as these kinds of occurences tend to even themselves out.

Danny Murphy looked more like the player who gained England caps. I hope he continues to improve – and score goals! He took his goal really well. Hilarious seeing Sol Campbell’s reaction to the goal! :)

It was great seeing Dimitar Berbatov back, who clearly needs games to get back to fitness. Pity Mido didn’t make it off the bench though… :)

Jermain Defoe partnered the Bulgarian well and managed to tuck the penalty away.

Overall, I think we deserved the win. Portsmouth may have dominated in midfield, but they didn’t really test the defence much.
